• Water-Solubility: soluble in cold water or hot water.
• Gas seal: high barrier properties against almost all common gases.
• Solvent resistance: resistant to almost all organic solvents. Resistant to oil and grease.
• Antistatic: PVOH films do not take on static charge.
• Strength: PVOH films have high strength from the start. Thanks to improved production processes, our films demonstrate significantly better values.
• Weldability: PVOH film can be processed on any heat welding system.
• Biodegradable: as soon as the PVOH film has dissolved in water, it is completely biodegradable. The solution is converted into carbon dioxide and water by micro-organisms in the sewage-works. Published tests with a concentration of 500 mg PVOH per 1000 ml showed no effects on living fish. In waste incineration, PVOH film burns with no residue, to form CO2 and water.
